Breaking: After Gerrard, Now Arsenal Fan Favourite Announces His Shock Retirement Plan!! 1

Arsenal star Laurent Koscielny is considering spending the rest of his career with the North Londoners after admitting he is indebted to manager Arsene Wenger.

The Frenchman picked up his compatriot as a relatively unknown defender from Ligue 1 outfit Lorient in 2010, and after taking to adjust Koscielny has become one of the English top flight’s best ever defenders.

Despite rumoured interest from Bayern Munich among others in the summer, the 31-year-old has two years left on his current deal, and the club is keen for one of their key assets to extend with them.

What may convince Koscielny to stay at the club is the affection he feels for his current boss.

“It was Arsene Wenger who had the courage to buy me from Lorient when I was nobody” he said.

“I’d had one year at an average club in Ligue 1 and he took a big punt in bringing me to one of the 10 biggest clubs in Europe.

“I am in the French national team thanks to the boss and I will be grateful to him my entire career.

“I will finish my career in England or at my old club Lorient but I love living in London.

“I was 24 when I arrived in England and I had never lived in a big town, so it was a big step into the unknown for me.

“But my family is happy, the people are calmer than in Paris and there is more respect.”

The loss of Koscielny would undoubtedly be a major loss for the club, instrumental as he is on and off the pitch.
